Saratoga Culture
Art and Culture are a big part of what makes Saratoga County feel interesting and refreshing at the same time. With an assortment of museums and activities to enjoy, the community-driven town doesn't fall short in either category.
Within the Saratoga Spa State Park, visitors will find the National Museum of Dance & Hall of Fame. This is the only museum dedicated entirely to dance in the Nation. Here, those interested can learn about the history of dance by watching video clips, listening to audio tapes, and reading biographies. Once the hunger for knowledge has been filled, visitors are also welcome to step inside the Saratoga Performing Arts Center where advanced students partake in master classes with renowned dancers that are open for public viewing.
Of course, one of the most well-known and celebrated aspects of Saratoga is the Saratoga Racetrack. With a 3 dollar general admission fee and free entry for children 12 and under accompanied by an adult, the Racetrack is a must-see venue. Featuring two separate racetracks, NYRA's Race Course and the Saratoga Gaming and Raceway, there is literally excitement at every turn. Plus, either before or after the horse races begin, patrons can dine at a variety of on-site restaurants along the Saratoga Restaurant Row.
Finally, located right inside the town of Malta is the Malta Drive-in Theatre. One of the longest running drive-in movie theaters still active, the Malta Drive-in Theatre provides an entertaining community-focused experience with ample space and great BBQ. The Theatre is open from the last weekend in April until September and is a shining example of one of the things that makes Malta great.
