Saratoga Waterfront

Bordering the town of Malta is the gorgeous Saratoga Lake. At approximately five miles in length, it is easily accessible from points on both ends, beginning at the northern entry of Kayderosseras Creek and ending at an outlook into the southern end of Fish Creek.

The Saratoga Lake is a perfect place for vacationing, recreational fun, and even water enthusiasts. Offering an impressive array of activities: From wakeboarding and waterskiing, to jet skiing and tubing, there are plenty of fun-filled ways to beat the heat.

For the folks who want to enjoy boating into the beautiful horizon, there is a public access boat launch at the northern end as well as multiple private marinas throughout. Just don’t forget to grab a snack for the trip at one of the few food establishments located along the coast.

And what trip to the lake would be complete without a little fishing? At the Saratoga Lake, fishermen can expect to catch an assortment of small and largemouth bass, northern pike and walleye. Ice fishing is also an exciting event during the winter, and the unusual bow hunting for carp makes for an interesting spectator sport. For those who’ve yet to try their hand at reeling in the big catch, there is a spattering of recreational businesses all offering fishing guide services, so there’s no need to worry.

Saratoga Lake offers plenty of relaxing and exciting moments to be shared, making it the perfect spot for a vacation. Or, if you’re lucky enough to live in Malta, it’s simply a fun weekend trip.
